Ford Sony / Sony CD132 Radio Code

For single-CD Ford Sony systems, you can frequently retrieve the serial code directly on the dashboard screen without removing the unit:

• Turn your vehicle ignition key to position II and power on the stereo.
• Press and hold preset buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously for a few seconds.
• If the screen does not respond, release and try holding buttons 2 and 6 together.
• Watch the display cycle through system data to find your code starting with V or M followed by 6 digits.

If your vehicle features a multi-CD changer Sony CD132 variant or if the screen shortcut fails, you must slide the radio out of the dashboard:

• Carefully unclip the central dashboard trim and unscrew the mounting fasteners.
• Pull the Sony audio unit forward to expose the metal housing stickers.
• Look for part numbers starting with prefixes like SOCD... or serial barcodes.
• Locate the specific 6-digit sequence (e.g., V012345) or part serial required for unlocking.
